The UKAVA Launches a Free Google Group for Virtual Assistants This month saw the launch of the UK Association of Virtual Assistants Google Group. A user group or forum was something that had been in the pipeline for a while here at the UKAVA but we wanted a group that could be open to everyone, newbies and veterans alike. The group is free to join and participate in and boy have you all grabbed it by the horns. There I was just the other day sitting in my Google Group all alone and then, BAM, virtual assistants are coming from everywhere and all crazily networking to find complimentary skills, telephone answering services, transcription services, holiday cover - you name it. What are you waiting for? Get over there and join in!

In the spotlight…
Where Are Your Testimonials It’s not that we don’t get lots of thank you emails and appreciation from our members and subscribers. We often receive nice unsolicited comments about how our ebook has helped someone make the decision to become a virtual assistant and how listings in our Directory have resulted in numbers of new clients for our members. It’s just that, until now we have not collated this information and added it to the web site. Now we could wade back though all our previous messages and pick out the testimonials we want to use, then email all those people for permission to publish them. Or we could offer our current members and subscribers the chance to get a link to their web site from a Google PR4 web site which is consistently listed on the first page of Google results for the phrase ‘virtual assistant’’. If that means nothing to you then next time you bump into a Search Engine Optimisation specialist at a networking event, ask them how much they would pay for such a link ;-)
The neat little win-win deal is this. If you have benefited in some way from our service, either from reading the ebook ‘Setting Yourself Up As A Virtual Assistant, from being listed in the UKAVA Directory, or even from just the free advice we publish each month in this UKAVA: In The News newsletter, write a few brief lines about it. Let us know what you liked or how you benefited, don’t forget to include your web site address, and we’ll publish you comments and link on the UKAVA web site.
Send your comments to testimonials@ukava.co.uk
