The 2007 National VA Conference was a great success with VA’s attending from across the country making the most of the opportunity to share ideas and information and attend fun and enlightening

Tickets for the 2008 National VA Conference and Awards are now on sale and if you book through the UKAVA before 1st August 2007 there is a special Early Bird discount. And for those of you who might not be able to make the live event, this year there will also be the opportunity to attend the Virtual Conference.

In the Spotlight…

Networking – Online and Offline

We all know that networking is a great way of making contacts and generating leads for our business, but did you know that you could network online as well as face-to-face?

Many of us don’t have enough hours in the day to complete out clients work, and keep our own business admin up to date, let alone go out early mornings and evenings to network. Throw a family into the mix and it can become nearly impossible.

My saving grace has been Ecademy, a virtual community where business professionals get together to network online. Once you have set up your profile you can join virtual clubs, try joining one or two in your local area (there’s even one for Virtual Assistants although the idea is to network for clients rather than colleagues!) you can keep a blog and advertise your services on the Marketplace section.
